Wheel of Fortune has been around since the 1970s. This game saw bell bottoms at the height of the fashion game. Then they died. Then they came back again. Then they died again. It is safe to say that this game show is the ultimate American game.
Americans all over the country have had their say, trying to guess the puzzles. And now, with Twitter, it seems the living room has expanded on a larger scale and people are bonding over mind boggling word puzzles such as the latest, which has people on Twitter baffled.
It started with one guy, calling himself @twittersgoodboy on Twitter. This person shared a screen shot of one of Wheel of Fortune's word puzzles. The guy tried to complete the word with what he thought was the right answer: Suck It Dork.
The tweet garnered thousands of likes and retweets very quickly. Other Twitter users soon followed in this guy’s footsteps, trying to find their right answer to this word puzzle. The answers will enlighten you.
It wouldn’t be Twitter without a full-fledged conversation thread on a random topic. Others chimed in on the puzzle with their answers. There was the expected “Fuck At Work” answer and the somehow weird, “Lick It Fork.”
There was the fussy “Pick At Pork” answer and the cruel “God Hates Dorks” guess. Of course, the real answer was “Back At Work” which you might have already guessed by now and everyone else on Twitter for that matter but hey, any excuse to waste time guessing games!
This is not the first time Wheel Of Fortune got people puzzled. But while the “Back At Work” puzzle was a way for people online to have some fun, other Wheel of Fortune puzzles turned out to be epic fails by the contestants who could gain a little by crack opening a book once in a while.
9. Eksclusive Nightclub
Like the time one contestant lost $10,000 when she failed to spell “E_clusive Nightclub.” The woman asked for a K instead of an X to spell Exclusive. Watch the video to see the moment and prepare to facepalm yourself.
10. Setting Up Beach Chairs
There was the woman who could not solve the beach chairs puzzle. Yeh, because what else is there to do but to set UP beach chairs? The other, seriously overexcited contestant took the answer away and won a trip to Mexico in the process.
11. Tennessee Williams Would Be Proud
Oh, and then there was the time one guy suggested a K for the missing letter in “A Streetcar Na_ed Desire.” One book people, at least one book a year: It’s not going to kill you or your social life.
12. Harry Potter’s Magic Hand
On another thrilling episode of Wheel of Fortune, we learned Harry Potter was more than “the boy who lived.” Yeh, apparently, this boy has a magic hand. Not a magic wand, no, that wouldn’t make sense. A hand.
13. The Night Way
Look, even simple puzzles can puzzle us sometimes, especially on TV. I get it, with the nerves and all of that. Still, an R is not an N, lady.
14. Dangling The Night Away
And finally, this man who could not get one right answer. Despite how obvious the answers were. “Dangling On Air Jordans” is my favorite.
