As if going to work isn’t stressful enough, these days we have the added stress of the daily commute. Cars seemed to have tripled all of a sudden. Accordingly, spending an hour in traffic, taking ant-like progress in our car has become the norm.
Think about the added stress that comes with the daily commute. There’s the extra hour you have to waste every morning and evening to go to work and head back home. Not to mention the annoying and impatient drivers, the monotony of it all and the knowledge that you could be spending that hour doing something much more interesting.
Of course, there are other options to driving yourself to work. There’s the glorious public transport for instance. You can never be late if you take the bus or train now, can you? There’s also the bike, or walking, but then, these modes of transportation come with sweaty consequences.
With his essentials packed and sealed, David is ready to go. He swims 1.2 miles a day to arrive at his workplace. Now, you’d think with such an uncommon way to commute, the guy may not have as much flexibility.
David can’t answer his phone if it starts ringing for instance, but hey, that can be a good thing. And yet, the guy still has some flexibility. You see, on some days, he even stops at a café for a cappuccino. I’m pretty sure they make his order to go.
Overall, it seems the people of Munich are amused by David. He says how “Sometimes he gets laughed at by pedestrians.” I think David is having the last laugh because there isn’t traffic in a river. And yet, couldn’t this guy just invest in a tiny boat and row to work in a suit?
