Jon proposed to Toria on air, where he called for the help of Drew and Nick Lachey (98 Degrees, y'all!), who also work with him. They played the Newlywed Game on the air, and at the end Jon proposed with all those tuned in listening to the special moment. That's one way to make sure a girl doesn't say no.
What are you supposed to do after getting engaged? Well, take engagement photos, of course. Jon and Toria took a series of beautiful photos to show the world their love for one another. He thanks his photographer for making him look "somewhat presentable" next to his wife, he says in an Instagram post.
"If I had a dime for every serious moment you've killed by making me laugh, I'd buy [you] a really nice purse. But...you'd take it back and buy a vacuum cleaner. That's why I'm lying and I would have just bought you a vacuum cleaner. Also, you're perfect," wrote Jon in another post on his fiance's birthday. So, as you can see, the couple has a goofy side.
So Jon decided that he'd make his engagement photos particularly unique. He called on the help of his photographer again, and his best man, who was more than game for the idea. Then he took to Facebook.
There, he shared all of the pictures he took. Except this time, they were with his best man. Jon reenacted some of the engagement photos him and his fiance had taken, because his best man deserved some limelight, too. And they really nailed it. The love for his best man is real.
"Jon’s always been in love with music – even at 12-years-old he wanted to become someone who could help people enjoy listening to it even more," says his online bio. "Now he’s living the dream in the Q studio." He's also doing a great job of making us laugh.
How romantic. What a gentleman, pouring the alcohol for the other guy. And what a way to set the scene. We're really into the way the light is reflecting on the best man's head. Is this the new meaning of headlamps?
In many of the pictures, Jon and his best man just can't quite keep it together. Could you, if you were doing these poses? We're also really worried about his best man's head. Is it okay? Isn't it getting a little hot under the heat of that lamp?
Cigars and booze. Besides, obviously, Jon and his best man, these two are the main feature of the reenacted engagement photos. We hope they have a really fun bachelor party. And how could they not, considering how funny just these photos alone are?
Keep it together, Jon. This is serious business. Don't you know you have to work all your angles? Make sure the lighting is totally correct? If you don't pay attention to all those factors, your pictures are going to end up looking like a joke. Oh, wait.
When he shared the photos on Facebook, the post took off. People loved the ida, and it received hundreds of comments. Other people were commenting that they wanted to do the same with their engagement photos. Jon is really a trendsetter.
We wish these two crazy kids the best, and that they keep up their goofy approach to life. Who knows what they have in mind for their wedding pictures. Do we sense another trend coming on? We'll be waiting patiently.
So, there we have it. Jon and Toria are really killing this whole being engaged thing, doing so with laughter and love. But we want more. Where's the best man in these photos? We think it's calling for reenactment round two. We're looking at you, Jon.
