Can you imagine what these movies would look like if they were made today? And I'm not talking about the live-action versions they're churning out. Although, those seem awesome and I won't pretend like I'm not gonna see them all.
Meet Tom Ward. He's a talented illustrator and graphic designer who wondered that very question. He decided to show what these movies would look like if they took place in today's society in his "Alt Disney" series.
There is an art to taking a great selfie. Everyone knows you need to capture yourself at high angles to best show yourself off. Sadly, Pinocchio probably got that angle in this shot by telling Geppetto that he looked great in the first pic they took.
See that face? That's the face of every woman being told by society how you have to look and how you have to eat to live up to an unrealistic standard of beauty. Even in a drug-fueled fantasy land they can't escape it.

Environmental pollution has gone way up since the time period in which The Little Mermaid took place. At least this'll give Ariel plenty of practice walking on land. Because that'd be a way easier way to travel than swimming in circles with those things.
