Re: Devil,Lucifer,Fallen Angel etc.

The last I heard Devil wore prada and rode Toyota Prado. He like to pray and prey as well. He is like a faithful carnivore.

On a serious note: There is no such thing as Devil or God. Good or Bad. The world created a higher power as a metaphor for worshiping the forces of fury that is - Nature, beyond it, Universe. Look at Greek, Egyptian, Hindu, heck, most of polytheism in this world and also monotheism in some way is based as a metaphor.

I also agree to certain extent what Southpaw says, except for his theory of 'genetics'. No body is a criminal by genes. Look at Australia, for example. Its the circumstances and also to a point poverty and lack of opportunities that create actions, that are perceived to be bad at any given point of time - as the society functions.

The devil is a metaphor for choices resulting in bad actions. That harms others. Thoughts do not make a devil, actions do though.

I agree, there is no criminal by genes, but some people are more predisposed to this nonetheless.

Re: Devil,Lucifer,Fallen Angel etc.

When you said "on a serious note," I actually thought you were bluffing, and you would, once again, put random words together in the hope that something meaninful would materialise. But instead, you ditched the idea that someone living created the world and went with the much more plausible idea that something inanimate created itself. That's true insight. Was that gut instinct? Or were you just inspired by nature? Where have been hiding all that intelligence? Under your pillow?

"There's no... good or bad" - I cried a little when I read that. How can such rampant brilliance exist in one person? Eh?

You two should form an act. Today, Sarcasm Society, tomorrow the McLean common room.

Re: Devil,Lucifer,Fallen Angel etc.

What I was trying to say and probably indianboy too,is that there is no good or bad on a larger scale, not what we all perceive in a subjective way.If you want to believe in a cosmic battle between good and evil be my guest.

Mr. Mod, aka Reason,

Your approval of my intelligence means so much to me, I can not say. I cried a little too, rejoicing at the same time. I had wondered if people would understand my random waving of words in to a string of thought as random words or not. And then you came up with this validation. The only thing people here do not get is, I think, confusing objective questions, garnished with sarcasm. But who cares anyways. There is always a Reason behind it. Or is there?

Re: Devil,Lucifer,Fallen Angel etc.

My approval doesn't always garner such a positive response, so I'm pleasantly surprised. For example, I approve of  public beatings for people who insist on using the English language to promote their own version of gibberish - even if it is patented gibberish - and some people think that's a little too paternal.
My approval of your intelligence might be likened to the approval of a death row inmate towards the electric chair, which, you'll agree, is a very strong type of approval, and I'm glad you apprecaite it.

We were human too.

Re: Devil,Lucifer,Fallen Angel etc.

It was not just positive, it was inspirational and motivating - like those self help books 'you can win' or those jihad-ists, 'You can die and still be proud remains'. People can and do die listening/reading to your discourses on anything under the sky. Thats a rare skill. And then it occurred to me that Some of the extremist countries in the middle east approve of the things you approve. Have you started a charter in the lands where the sun never set (once upon a time) named "KneeBusters"?

Once again thanks for likening your approval of my grey cells to approving of about to be charred character of unsound mind - It has given an alltogether new dimension to cause and spirit that this thread is. I can be an eternal Baphomet engine and forever roam the fiery plains in the Down town Hell - looking like nothing but a skull. I can have stagger firing too.

You are right indianboy, people shouldn't be deceived by their own prejudices.Reason and his posts are indeed very positive and inspirational once you get past his distasteful avatar, bad demeanour, his grotesque word associations and the sketchy conduct related by himself.Truly, one hell of a guy!

This is the main point of Christianity. As the guy said, nothing else really matters, and I'd say everyone loses sight of this, especially those claiming to follow it. Including me.

I don't see how having a Stoneheart and Ironhand makes you cool, but you have a point.

Seriously now,you don't have to be a christian to believe in those things. And if you believe only in that you can't truly call yourself a christian.

''Peace, love and all that poop'' sounds so much rhythmically pleasing than your short little gimmick.

So, just go away and cry in a corner.

Please. See, I was even polite.
