Well, I do think it is pretty rude not to hold doors for other people, especially if they’re your senior. But, yes, baby boomers tend to do some pretty rude things too … like using racial and homophobic slurs.
There sure are certain stereotypes that hold true about millennials. We do tend to whine a bit. But we may have good cause. We’re overworked and underpaid, and maybe we try to cover our anxieties with tattoos to create a tough exterior.
Oh, but how would a millennial survive in 1974 without smartphones, selfies, Twitter, etc. See it just isn’t worth it. We rather stay in 2017 where we are in debt, but able to take pictures of our dinner and share it with the world.
Why is it that a 28-year-old back in 1972 could deal with three kids, a mortgage and make their own dentist appointments? Today, I get frustrated just raising my cat, I make my mom make all my doctor’s appointments, and paying rent will be something I do till I die.
Job hunting as a millennial can be a complete nightmare. They either want to pay you in experience, or you need to have a master’s degree and five years of experience for an entry level experience. How am I supposed to get experience if you won't give it to me?
I mean they have so many useless reality TV shows. This one would actually make some decent social commentary. My grandmother almost cried when she visited my apartment. It’ll make for great TV. People will, laugh, they’ll cry. They’ll mostly laugh though.
To be fair, the holes in the jeans can get a little out of hand. I can literally see a** cheeks hanging out of those holes. But, yeah, the baby boomers used way too much hairspray and burned way too many fossil fuels.
Well, isn’t this the pot calling the kettle black? Baby boomers always like to criticize us for being on our cell phones. But, my grandmother spends more time on Facebook than I do. She mostly posts photos of her garden.
